NZR, Sky and Super Rugby clubs team up to raise funds for the New Zealand Disaster Fund
New Zealand Rugby and Sky have teamed up with New Zealand’s Super Rugby Pacific and Aupiki clubs as well as Moana Pasifika and the Fijian Drua to raise money for the New Zealand Red Cross Disaster Fund.
For every point scored involving the participating teams during the opening round of DHL Super Rugby Pacific and Sky Super Rugby Aupiki this weekend, $500 will be donated to New Zealand Red Cross Disaster Fund. With a converted try worth $3,500 and penalties worth $1,500, players across the 12 teams will be doing everything they can to help the relief effort.
The donations will support the response and recovery to Cyclone Gabrielle and help prepare communities for future emergencies across New Zealand. Fans can donate to New Zealand Red Cross Disaster Fund across the weekend, either at games or from home. To donate to NZ Red Cross Disaster Fund, click here.
