NZ Rugby, Sky and Super Rugby teams raise $250,000 for the New Zealand Red Cross

DHL Super Rugby Pacific and Sky Super Rugby Aupiki teams have helped New Zealand Rugby (NZR) and Sky donate $250,000 to the New Zealand Red Cross Disaster Fund and the Cyclone Gabrielle relief effort.
NZR and Sky pledged $500 for every point scored in Super Rugby during opening round matches involving New Zealand-based teams with 389 points scored across six participating matches over the weekend. The total amount raised by the players efforts was $194,500, while NZR and Sky today announced an additional $55,500 will be added to take the total amount raised for the New Zealand Red Cross Disaster Fund to $250,000.
