Sky Super Rugby Aupiki Teams: Round 6

Sky Super Rugby Aupiki Teams: Round 6

All BlacksApril 5, 2024

It’s the final round of the regular season, and although the finalists have been decided, there is still plenty to play for.

While Chiefs Manawa and Blues Women are confirmed to play in the final next weekend, where the final will be played is yet to be decided. Chiefs Manawa have a one-point advantage over Blues Women on the ladder and will be hoping to lock up a home final with a win over Matatū this weekend.

If Chiefs Manawa do prevail over Matatū, Blues Women could still draw level with a bonus-point win over the Hurricanes Poua. If that happens then the Blues will go through as top qualifier on the back of competition points gained in matches between the two teams. Essentially the equation is simple for the Manawa to finish top - match or better the competition points gained by the Blues in round six to secure top spot.

For Matatū and the Hurricanes Poua, both teams will be desperate to finish the season on a high and secure third place. Neither team will be going down without a fight in round six.
