John Mayhew

John joined the club in 1971 and played for the seniors from 1975 to 1987, except in 1984-85 while he was studying in the UK. he has been a North Harbours doctor since the union's formation in 1985 and was the All Blacks doctor from 1988 to April 2004.

He has been an IRB medical adviser since 1996 and a FIFA medical adviser from 199-202.

Married with four children, his eldest son also appeared for the clubs Premier team.

Both his brothers and brother-in-law have played senior rugby for the club.
