We’re thrilled to confirm Rahul Das, and Mike Noble will continue to coach our Harcourts Cooper & Co Bec Whitley Property Premier 1 Man for the upcoming season with the addition of Richard Mayhew as Resource Coach, supported by the great management team of Brad Boult, Finlay Barnett and Dominic Roe. It’s a tried and trusted lineup with a depth of expertise, commitment and momentum. We can’t wait to see what’s in store for 2024!

Saturday saw the Northcote Harcourts Cooper & Co Bec Whitley Property Premier 1s return home after a two-week rest, playing the old foe Takapuna in a semi-final. The weather was perfect, and the stand was full. Both clubs had their supporters turn out in force in one of the biggest crowds seen at Harvey Wright for a number of years. The rugby matched the setting and crowd.
First to run onto the field was Brook Robson, playing his blazer game for Northcote. Northcote played some of their best rugby, going into halftime with a 14 to 0 lead. Takapuna were the first to score in the second half with an early try Northcote responded with their third converted try, Momentum changed and Takapuna scored twice again, Northcote claimed a penalty to make the score 24 to 19 with just minutes to go. In the last minute, Takapuna, from a scrum on their 22, scored a try in the corner to make the score 24 to 24. The conversion from the sideline ended the game 26 to 24 win to Takapuna.
Not the result that Northcote wanted and for the fourth year in a row we've been knocked out in a semi final. The Team were disappointed they couldn't give the Club another Prem Championship. They want to say how much the support has meant this year from everyone in the club.
