Simon arrived from the club 'Avenir Rugbystique Aytrésien',  La Rochelle, France in 2011 for the Rugby World Cup, found Northcote and never left.

He played a few years in the Premier 2 and then went on to manage the team in 2017, the start of a long successful period for Northcote rugby.
