The team is as follows:
Preston Matthews: Very consistent, aggressive and brilliant player. Good tackling. 2 tries and five ribbons and player of the month trophy to his credit.
Jarrod Rufus: Excellent skills. Good tackler.
Behaviour on and off the field excellent. A pleasure to have coached.
Murray Rupa, Gareth Hannah: played excellent games as the season progressed.
Troy Jensen: Another all rounder who has great potential, skills, behaviour, tackling. All the best next season Troy.
Jarrod Liversedge: the smallest in the team. Put in a mighty effort. Good work Jarrod.
Jason Hannah: Highest try scorer. Terrific skills.
Greg Hayhow: A gutsy player. Has all the potential a coach could ever ask for. Dynamic throughout the whole season.
Luke Sandford, James Full.er: Both scored brilliant tries and progressed steadily as the end of the season drew to a close. Well done to you boys.
As coach, there are a few people I would like to personally thank. First and foremost, my sponsors, Birkenhead Transport, for all the jackets which were greatly appreciated by parents and myself.
Thanks to Shirley Rupa for her time and effort to the Golden Oldies. To all the supporters - thank you all very much for the support you gave to the team.
