J8 White 2015’s season has been full of fun and positive developments. Lots of the good things you hope for a Little Rippa’s first season. Plenty of game time, night games, mud and many displays of promising rugby skills.

As a first time coach, it has been a pleasure to watch the kids putting their new skills into play over the season. The confidence growth in each player has been impressive – from grabbing those rips to setting up the team to score those tries! Every player deserved the enormous smiles they wore while they played each and every game….well, almost. The smiles faded a bit in the games during the hard horizontal rain on many occasion! Saying that their enthusiasm for the game has remained strong and the attendance has been fantastic.

Thanks to the team’s parents and supporters for all their help, everyone has helped make it an enjoyable season to be part of. Big thanks to Tane Pratt for being our referee this year, awesome job!

We hope to see the whole team back next year for a second season of Rippa Rugby at the mighty Northcote Rugby Club. Have a good summer and keep practising passing and catching the ball.
