2015 Plate Winners

2015 started off with lots of promise, with an exciting bunch of new talented players, Cam, Will, Aaron, Alistair, Calvin, Callum, Jess, David, Logan, Shaun, Travers, David, Wyatt and Jesse joining our returning players, Ben, Alistair, Andrew (Crusty), Brendan, Brett, Callum, Elliot, James, Gary, Nick, Paddy, Ross,  Champ, Steve, Terence, Tony, Travis, Tyler, Willis, and Zac, our Ebony and ivory Shay Shay’s,  and a new coaching team.

During pre-season training, coach Paul King left. Peter Nonu and Aaron Kiwara stepped in to join coach Doug Kerr.

It was a season of injuries, concussions and people leaving due to work commitments. The same team never fielded twice. Players- playing out of position, but always giving it their all.  Results didn’t go our way in the first round, got slightly better in the second round.

For the first time in a long time, we dropped out of the top four. The boys in true ‘Cote’ fashion, pulled themselves together and decided that winning the plate final was the only way to redeem their season.  Mission accomplished, thrashed Silverdale in the final.

Congratulations must go to Aaron Young for making the North Harbour 85s team.
