Well, what a great season it was for the J2 Maroon team, with a season of 11 wins and 2 losses it was a great way for the majority of the team to finish their Junior Club rugby careers and the remainder to carry through to J1 next year.

With a team of 20, we never thought we would for a few weeks have 4 boys out with broken bones and with the winter bugs kicking in we struggled to put 15 on the park some weeks, but these boys gel so well on and off the field that it never seemed to faze them and would pull comebacks out of a hat, that sometimes we were left wondering if they even needed coaching as they seemed to write their own game plan but to be fair it was very entertaining to watch some outstanding skills and unselfish play to get the job done as a team, and a great team they are.

So on behalf of Jamie, Robbo and myself I would like to thank all the parents for their help and support throughout the year and the boys for being a pleasure to coach on and off the field and good luck to those who are off to high school and we will see the rest of you next year in J1.
