Hi all, 2017 has been a big test for this team. It had the makings of a tough season with only 17 players to call upon and only 14 for the first game on grade day. We were unsure how the players would react but we needn’t have worried. Despite the first-up loss the players developed into a cohesive unit playing some scintillating rugby along the way.

We are very proud of this team. There were no ‘I’ attitudes and no one player saw themselves as better than the team. They played for each other and their team structure was commented on favourably by supporters and opposing coaches throughout the year. Despite at times having no subs, the team only lost three games all season which is a credit to their commitment, attitude and team ethos.

J3 Gold played with a ‘Never Give Up’ attitude this season, scoring a number of the great team tries as well as developing the fundamentals of the game. They became a very competitive team who wore the Cote jersey with pride. Thanks to those teams who loaned us, players, on the odd occasion when we were down to 14 players, typifying the Cote club spirit. Thanks to Mandy & Liz who took on the jersey washing duties.

A big thank you to our manager Blair who ensured everything ran smoothly. Also thank you to our

refs Eugene and JT who answered our SOS!

To the many supporters/parents, who committed to J3 Gold, rain or shine supporting the team and their boys. THANK YOU! It makes us mighty proud to be involved in such a committed rugby team.
