Another awesome season for Northcote J5 Gold and their families and supporters. We had some changes from last year's bunch with the addition of Anthony, Elijah, Monte, and Theo. All new to tackle rugby.  Continuing as they finished last season J5 Gold has again played some great football.

The focus for this year has been to move the ball away from the bunching opposition and use the space on the outside. It took a few games to click but once they got it, they scored some spectacular tries. Now the boys are seeing the benefit of passing early and staying in support.

I am proud of the way each player has continued to improve in the more physical areas of tackling and the dark art of the breakdown. Everyone progresses differently and all have improved over the year.

The Ron Williams tournament was a highlight, playing 5 truncated games in one day proved to be a great experience for the boys. Taking out the Bowl final was an excellent achievement for this team as the standard of teams entered was very high.

Thank you to everyone involved this year; coaches, management, referee, helpers, parents, grandparents, and supporters. And a big thank you and congratulations to the boys for and an outstanding season with some very memorable rugby. It has been a pleasure to be involved with this group of great kids again.
