This year had its challenges of that everyone is well aware and probably shared similar experiences. We were grateful for the opportunity to play some footy and even more so as we welcomed a handful of new faces all new to Rugby who can now say with gusto that they are a part of the Cote Family.

Training by training, game by game our team developed and improved. I wouldn’t read too much into the results as they aren’t a true reflection of the development that took place. Simply put, we could hold our own generally speaking it was just a few rugby heads in the opposing teams that made the difference.

As grateful as we were to have played some Rugby, the boys and their whanau were gutted that the season cut short with messages of players missing the camaraderie and looking to find summer sports to continue the friendships made. To that end, our J5 Maroon had a great season.
