With just 7 games in a shortened season, it certainly will be one to remember/forget. An enthusiastic bunch of girls, all 14 of them had to wait till June to get their first game in. A real mixed bag this year with 5 wins and 2 losses, all in high scoring games. Some great skills were shown with more kick and chase this year and a few blindside scrum moves resulting in great tries.

With a long season and a few months of lockdown, there was certainly a bit of rustiness as we came out of lockdown and equally, you could tell who was out every day running in lockdown, with several girls growing an extra few inches taller and picking up a yard or 3 of extra pace.

As the season drew to a late close, coach Chattie, always looking for more action arranged a final game vs the U15 team. A good bit of coaching rivalry with Chattie and Darrin ended with the U15’s coming out on top 14-7. Shared over a final sausage sizzle and a few beers it was just the right result to get the girls eager to be back next season for revenge.

Thanks again to all the parents for their support on the sidelines.
