The JB2 Gold ‘Mullets’ had a season of footy which was up and down throughout. For many of the players, it was their first year of 15 a side Full Field Rugby (finally) which was great to see them playing their true positions in style and Game Management (at times haha).

Led by ‘Veterans and Mongrels’ Nathan, Isiah, Nick and Dylan in the uncompromising Front Row, the ‘Bruising and Jostling’ Middle row of Luka, Jacob, Adan, aided by ‘the don’t take a step backwards. Loose Forwards Blake, Harry, Henry and Che.

Backs were 'well-fed and marshalled around' by Noah, Anthony and Kayden, ‘Up the Guts Midfield D and Running’ Midfield of Lachie Lee, Koni, Archie, polished off with ‘Need for Speed’ Wings and Fullbacks Jake, Finn and Braydon.

Highlights for the year included tight wins over ECB and Marist with the best performance of the year a home win over Massey playing awesome rugby and best of all the boys enjoying it. Another highlight was the mid-season haircuts with many in the team taking up the call for Mullets, Pressies Shed Sessions and some gutsy training runs with some players covering many positions in true team spirit.

To the boys whose this is their last year of Junior Rugby at the Cote wish them all the best on Touring Team and look forward to seeing them back for Under 19s and 21s at the Cote.

Huge thanks to coaches Lyle and Simon for all their time and efforts this season, Stefan for Refereeing, Karen and Mandy for Managing, parents for support and most of all to the BOYS / MULLETS for a great season of footy, its been a huge pleasure to see the progress from Backlines and Forward packs a couple of years ago where you could chuck a blanket over ya to some rugby that looked closer to Prems and Senior rugby at times with a smile on their face, that’s what it's all about!!
