After such a short season last year due to COVID, the girls were chomping at the bit to reunite friendships and get back on the rugby field to showcase their skills.
The girls now moving up to the U15 grade, with all but two of last year’s team returning and one coming back from a year off. The team comprised of one year 7 and the rest from year 9.
Another great year together, remaining unbeaten with 11 wins and 1 draw.
The skill level continues to grow with the girls now calling numerous moves to display their passing and kicking game.
The friendships made in the team despite being at rival colleges has been great to see, with many connecting outside the rugby season.
We are lucky to have such an amazing group of family and supporters encouraging the girls every week, and a shout out to Hannah’s dad, Stephen for capturing the action on camera each week.
A special thanks to our amazing Manager Elisha Hart who has made life so easy organising treats, ice packs, game time reminders and social catch-ups outside games, which has really brought the team together.
A big thanks to Patrick and Ben Fraser for being our refs. Ben had to step up when dad broke his leg playing for the NOBRAS. I think it's time to leave the playing to the girl's Paddy!
A huge thanks to Paul, Darrin, Geoff and the club for all the organising of teams/tournaments/fill-in refs and prizegiving’s
We’d love to see the team back next year for their final year in the under 15’s.
