2021

2021 season – we almost got there, just two games short. The girls had a lot of fun. It was awesome to see the development in each and every one of the team members. They worked on their catch pass and finding space. We put in place a ‘trainer of the week’ to try and motivate the girls to transfer skills from the training field to the games on Saturday. These girls were an amazing group to coach; their enthusiasm and energy was contagious and we all had a lot of fun.

We had a combination of girls who were new to rip rugby and some seasoned players. By the end of the season the girls became a cohesive team that would string together some great facets of play, to the delight of parents and whanau on the sideline. And a big thanks has to go to our girls' parents, helping out with oranges and washing the jerseys throughout the season.

Thanks for a fun season everyone, see you next year.
