The Eagles returned for their second year of Rippa, with 8 of the original team coming back and 5 new players joining the team, making up the squad of 13. They blended in seamlessly and soon became a tight-knit crew full of energy and excitement.

With Jason returning to coach and Matt joining as co-coach, it provided great continuity. The players look up to them, and they provide a calm and structured environment.

Having won 8 of their 11 games for the season thus far, the team have shown how far they have come. The pace, defence and teamwork have stepped up a level. The team also took part in the annual Snow White Tournament this year. After the initial round-robin games, the team managed to progress straight to the finals against Marist. After an intense game, the Eagles came out on top and walked away as winners of The Bowl for 2023! Such a proud moment for the team and their families.

We were again so lucky to have some amazing families and supporters on the sideline at every game. Special mention to Tessa for help with subbing this year and Chris for getting out there to ref in his work boots! An awesome season had by all. We can’t wait to see everyone back next year wearing maroon and gold in our first year of tackle. Up the mighty Cote!
