The IT Team

Help shape the digital future of Northcote Rugby Club

We’re looking to expand our IT Team with an aim to use technology to improve the running of the club, both now and into the future. There are three volunteer roles for people who enjoy technology, problem-solving and making things work better.

If you’re the kind of person who cares about data, systems and information management, and who might occasionally bore your mates with tech talk around the leaner in the Hanga Bar, you’ll fit right in.

You’ll be expanding the dynamic "IT Team" of one and helping to kick off a new era of sustainable, tech-enabled club operations. And you wouldn’t dream of being paid to do it.

IT Guru

We’re looking for someone to take a holistic view of the club and how technology can support everything we do, from administration and finances to member engagement and game-day operations.

You’ll be someone who:

  • Can confidently weigh up options (Microsoft vs Google, security vs management, cost vs value)
  • Enjoys simplifying complexity and creating joined-up solutions
  • Can turn “That’s a great idea” into “Here’s how and when we can do it”.

You’ll oversee all things IT, including the club’s website, mobile app, document management, accounting software and point-of-sale systems. You’ll share responsibility for validating the costs, revenue and benefits of the work.

Full Stack Developer

If you’re looking to get some real-world experience to add to your CV, this could be a great position for you.

You’ll be someone who cares about improving systems and making things better, and will oversee the ongoing development of our website and mobile app.

Content Editor

Help us manage our online content.

You’ll be responsible for making regular content updates to the website and mobile app, in coordination with the Marketing and Social Media Manager. You’ll develop skills around digital images and video, and have a direct line to the Developer to help improve your workflow.

You’ll have a care factor for readability, spelling, and grammar, an eye for consistency and style and willing to learn rudimentary HTML and SEO to maintain a high-ranking website.

Outdated content will frustrate you!
