The Premier 2’s win over Mahurangi on Saturday, 6 April, saw them secure the Duck Trophy. First played for 10 years ago when the Mahurangi Premier 2 team asked to play a mid-week game so they could go duck shooting on the weekend, the trophy has been out of circulation for the past few years, so it was great to see it come out of storage for yesterday’s game.
