Black Ferns inviting fans to bring support closer than ever

All BlacksMay 16, 2025
The Black Ferns are inviting fans from around the country to put pen to paper and send their support directly to the team in a special new initiative.
From today, supporters can write letters or fill out specially designed Black Ferns postcards available at the following Black Ferns games.
- May 17 v Canada - Apollo Projects Stadium, Christchurch
- May 24 v USA - North Harbour Stadium, Auckland
Postcards are also available at local rugby clubs in Christchurch and Auckland.
Every message received will go straight to the squad, and fans will receive an exclusive team poster in return as a thank-you from the Black Ferns.
Whether it’s words of encouragement, favourite match memories, or messages of inspiration, every fan submission will be shared with the Black Ferns players, helping them see and feel the support of Aotearoa in a massive year for women's rugby.
Write your message on a Black Ferns postcard or send your own letter or card to:

“This campaign is about creating a real and tangible connection between our team and our incredible supporters,” said Black Ferns co-captain Ruahei Demant. “The energy and aroha our fans give us is second to none, and the team can't wait to read and feel that support personally.”
Fans are encouraged to send their letters before the end of August. Join the wave of support and let the Black Ferns know just how much they mean to you.
The Black Ferns are playing in Aotearoa over the next two weeks at games in Christchurch v Canada on Saturday 17 May, and North Harbour in Auckland v the USA on 24 May. Tickets can be purchased here. Fans will be allowed on the field after both games, so don’t miss out.
