The premiers challenge and win the Les Pearce Memorial Shield

In convincingly beating Takapuna on Saturday, 25 May, our Harcourts Cooper & Co Bec Whitley Property Premier 1s returned the Les Pearce Memorial Shield to the Cote trophy cabinet after some years.

The Les Pearce Memorial Shield is the North Harbour Club Premier 1 grade challenge shield. The opposition may challenge for the Shield at the home venue of the current holder.

The Shield is named in memory of Major General Sir Les Pearce who was Vice Patron of North Harbour Rugby Union 1985-1988 and became Patron in 1989 remaining in that office until his death in 2002.
